Jim is the grandson of William Jessup, founder of San Jose Bible College in 1939, now Jessup University in Rocklin, CA. Jessup University is a fully accredited, private liberal arts university centrally located in Northern California that offers professional programs, residential and online, taught by expert, industry-leading faculty (both academic and practitioners).
Jim graduated from San Jose Bible College and was ordained into pastoral ministry in 1987. He received his master’s degree from Lincoln Christian Seminary in Illinois in 1991. He served as a pastor for 14 years and since 2003, he has been the director of church relations for Jessup University. He speaks frequently in various Christ-centered churches, retreat gatherings and at Christian schools on the West Coast. He has been married to Liz since 1985 and has two grown children, both married with kids of their own which adds the title “grandpa” to Jim’s bio.
